Electrical & Electronics Engg.
Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was established in the year 2008 .It aims at producing qualified engineers in the areas of electronics, electrical engineering. The field of electronics and electrical engineering is advancing at a very rapid pace. Digital electronics has taken the center stage in every area be it computer, microprocessor or communications. The department is well equipped with a group of highly qualified and dynamic teachers. It boasts of laboratory facility to be one of the best in the state. The students are encouraged and motivated to take up challenging projects. Summer training, industrial visit and projects are carefully planned for the students to remain updated with the technology trend. Seminars, workshops and short courses are regularly organized to update the students with the latest in the education and industry trends.

Activities
Department Seminars:
In house seminar is our daily practice in each week. All the faculty members are discussing and sharing their ideas and knowledge with everyone which is helpful for spreading knowledge among all the staff members.
National Seminars/Conferences/ Workshops/Techfests:
A Technical Festival “Techno Samavesh” is conduction every year which is helpful for our students to encourage them in extracurricular activities and compete with today’s challenging world.
Each semester one or two National Seminars are being organized in this department in which renowned speakers are invited from all over the India where a good number of papers and current project works are discussed which act towards the global development. In each year a National Level Workshop is too organized which makes our students up to date for the current job recruitments and the challenging job environment.
Electrical Projects:
Different projects of final year students are being guided by various reputed industrial training institutes across the India with complete involvement and observation by the respective project guides and staff members. The same is explained to the pre-final year students which behaves as a bridge and minimizes the gap between the institute and the industry.
Study Tours:
These tours are arranged to make the students aware of the practical implementations they are studying in the future and also can be inspired to join the industry. Tours are conducted to various International Industries and Power Sectors such as VEDANTA, HALL, VIZAG STEEL, HIRAKUD POWER PLANT, OHPC.... etc.
