The Institute follows the curriculum prescribed by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha. The curriculum is aligned with the model framework developed by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The present curriculum includes a broad-based foundation in core science and technical subjects, along with departmental core courses, professional electives, and project dissertations. The syllabus is regularly updated to keep pace with evolving industry requirements at both national and international levels.
Undergraduate (B.Tech) Admission
Admissions to the B.Tech programme are conducted as per the guidelines prescribed by the Joint Entrance Examination Odisha (JEE, Odisha).
- Candidates must qualify in JEE (Odisha) to be eligible for admission.
- Applicants should have a +2 Science background from a recognized board or equivalent, approved by BPUT.
- 85% of seats are filled through entrance examination rankings.
- The remaining 15% of seats are allocated under the NRI quota based on merit at the institute level.
Lateral Entry Admission
- Diploma holders and Science graduates are eligible for direct admission into the 2nd year of B.Tech under the lateral entry scheme.
- Admissions are conducted as per the rules of the Government of Odisha and relevant entrance examinations.
Postgraduate (MBA) Admission
For admission into the 2-year MBA programme, the Institute follows the rules and regulations set by the Government of Odisha and BPUT.
