Kalam Institute of Technology is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and ragging-free campus environment for all students. In line with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and guidelines issued by AICTE, the institute has established an Anti-Ragging Cell to effectively prevent and address any incidents of ragging.
To curb the menace of ragging, a meeting was conducted on 11th January 2024 under the leadership of the Principal, involving key stakeholders such as:
- Hostel Wardens
- Faculty members
- Student representatives
- Parents/Guardians
- District administration and police authorities
The meeting focused on implementing strict preventive measures, identifying individuals involved in ragging, and ensuring appropriate disciplinary action against offenders.
Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell
- To prevent and eliminate ragging in all forms within the campus
- To ensure a safe and supportive environment for students
- To promote healthy physical and psychological development
- To create awareness about the legal consequences of ragging
- To take strict action against offenders as per institutional and legal norms
